2-week Error in present Jewish Calendar

With respect to the Feasts of Israel, the only real incidents during a year of any real consequence, which occur during Full Moons, the Jewish calendar has a 15 day error, starting with Passover (the Lord’s Last Supper) in March.

Timing Feasts of Israel, Lev 23 (Full Moons)

178 days between 1st full moon in March (Passover, Last Supper) and Feast of Trumpets (24 September)

N.b., the Jewish calendar would predict Feast of Trumpets to be on September 9th.

On the infinite nature of the Creator’s Intelligence; Proof of God; the Feasts of Israel and the stages in the gestation of a human being

Zola Levitt, a Messianic Jew, now deceased, discovered an amazing correlation between Jewish Holy Days and the gestation periods of a human baby, from conception to birth. Zola, upon contacting a gynecologist for some help in understanding gestation, was informed: “On the fourteenth day of the first month, the egg appears.” The statement struck a chord in his Jewish mind because that was the date of Passover.

The gynecologist continued: “The egg must be fertilized within 24 hours, or it will pass on.” This reminded Zola of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the seed or grain that “fell into the ground and died” in order to produce a harvest, the firstfruits of which was presented to God.

Next, the gynecologist said, “Within two to six days, the fertilized egg attaches itself to the wall of the womb and begins to grow.” And, sure enough, the Jewish evangelist thought, “The Feast of Firstfruits is observed anywhere from two to six days after Passover!”

Next, he was shown a photo of an embryo showing arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, toes, a head, eyes, etc. The caption said, “Fifty days.” The gynecologist continued, “Around the fiftieth day, the embryo takes on the form of a human being. Until then, we don’t know if we have a duck or a tadpole.” Zola thought, “That’s Pentecost!”

The next picture showed the embryo at seven months. The gynecologist said, “On the first day of the seventh month, the baby’s hearing is developed. For the first time, it can hear and distinguish sounds outside the womb.” Zola knew that was the date for the Jewish Festival of Trumpets.

The gynecologist continued, “On the tenth day of the seventh month, the hemoglobin of the blood changes from that of the mother, to a self-sustaining baby.” Zola thought, “That’s the Day of Atonement, when the blood was taken into the Holy of holies!”

Next, the gynecologist said, “On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, the lungs become fully developed. If born before then, the baby would have a hard time breathing.” And Zola thought, “That’s the festival of Tabernacles, a time of celebrating the Temple, home of the Shekinah glory or Spirit of God.”
Birth takes place on the tenth day of the ninth month. Eight days after birth, in Jewish families, a son is circumcised. Zola noted that the eight days of Hanukkah are celebrated right on schedule, nine months and ten days after Passover.

No human being could have understood the gestation period 3,500 years ago. The establishment of the Jewish Holy Days, the Feasts of Israel, was given to Moses by Jehovah, Himself. Zola thought: Its correlation with the human gestation period is not only remarkable; it proves Intelligent Design.  It proves the existence of an intelligence beyond this world. It proves that there is a Creator God that guides the affairs of man.

For those who should know Leviticus 23

On the Fifth Feast, that of Trumpets, coming soon, viz., the 1st of Tishri corresponds to the 9th of September on the Gregorian Calendar, which is the de facto international standard, and is used almost everywhere in the world for civil purposes, including in China, India, etc., and corresponds to western Christianity, with traditional era notations “AD” and “BC” (“Anno Domini” and “Before Christ”), or of late with “CE” and “BCE” (“Common Era” and “Before Common Era”).

The Messiah’s Second Coming, taking place in the seventh month of the Jewish calendar, the month of Tishri, on the first of the month, will be fulfilled on the day proclaimed in the great plan for man, the plan of salvation, as presented 2300 years ago in the book of Leviticus, in chapter 23. This fifth Feast, of which there are seven in all, is referred to as the Feast of Trumpets by Messianic Jews and Christians, and as Rosh HaShana, or Jewish New Year, which of course is the traditional New Year for Jews, but it is not the Biblical New Year, since this holiday begins the seventh month, not the first, Pesach, in which Passover (the Lord’s Last Supper took place, and which paces or gives discrete times for all events in the year.

On the first day of the seventh month Jews are told to rest and blow the shofar, a special trumpet made from a ram’s horn, which was blown in ancient Israel for various reasons, now anticipated by Messianic Jews and Christians announcing the soon return of King Messiah, our Lord and Christ, to planet Earth. Throughout the New Testament The Lord’s return is promised to be accompanied by the blowing of the shofar (see 1 Cor. 15:51-52 and 1 Thes. 4:16). In the book of Revelation, with the sounding of the seventh trumpet, Christ returns to Earth.

Paul, in his letter to the church of the Thessalonians, states: states: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first  …” ref: 1 Th 4:16

The Common Thread that Binds

A tiny, so-called house spider, runs when approached by an intruder to its world. So does virtually every living thing. It is a characteristic that is shared by all animate creations. It is the thread that binds; binds us all; that fear of facing the end of one’s existence.

Terrorists and other predator-like beings are an anomaly to the ‘order of things.’

When you gather up the tiny spider and place it out of harms’ way you are servig all mankind in some sense. You have put down fear and its sometimes unintended consequences.

The driver that antagonizes another is like the predator that knows no fear; that shares not in the thread that binds. As does the bully in the school yard or the suicidal bomber. They too share a common thread but it is not part of God’s plan.

So to partake in the latter is errant behavior and to be part of the former is what all Christians strive for; that is what ‘brotherly love’ is all about.

Aim of Life

Aim of Life

As a Christian we should have a well-formed idea of the purpose of life. Philosophers (or writers on philosophy),
use terminology of the marksman, e.g., aim of life, in describing the mental state of a seeker of truth; aim of life being
the ataraxia, or freedom from disturbance. The way to this state of mind is the final realization that certainty is imposible;
that no argument is incontrovertible; and these arrived at through the suspension of one’s judgment.

Some of the Stoics of the early Roman empire, I contend, were pagans who had been affected by the Christian message. Although
non-believers they nontheless attempted to withdraw from the cares and turmoil of everyday life: the practice of hero worship, worship
of individuals of power, and concerns (to the extent possible) of the pagan attributes associated with territorial expansion, subjugation of
the populace, vice, and licentious behavior of the ruling class.

PHI 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things
[are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things
[are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things
[are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be]
any praise, think on these things.

May 24th or 25th or ?

14th of Nissan (March 29th) plus 50 days = May 19th = Pentecost [ if in today's modern 12 months/year calendar]. Really, I reckon, it could be May 24th (full moon). Do you know?

The dates are irrelevant to New Testament Christians, Jews and Gentiles both) but it helps me keep ‘tuned’ to His Word.
